This month I took it upon myself to create a music video to a rap I found in one of our broadcast tech folders. I was really excited for this because it was a great way for me to express some creativity and have some fun. This video was a lot of work. I filmed and edited a little bit every day for about 4 weeks. I even had a few friends help me write down the lyrics to the rap (which was very difficult.) I had a few students rap and it turned out pretty cool. It was challenging to try to diversify the video. At first, I just wanted it to show our school spirit, but I realized I needed to show more. I decided to show school spirit, the student body, the teachers, and some clubs and art programs. Like every project, it didn't turn out exactly how I had envisioned it, but I'm still pretty happy with the outcome. I'm really proud of myself for doing this because it was a risk. The music video was different than most videos we produce in this class. I'm not sure if my teacher will love the final product, but I know that the other students will really like it. This project wasn't what I expected it to be. It was really hard to find people (especially teachers) who wanted to rap and dance on camera. Overall, it was such a fun experience and I couldn't have done it without the help of all of my classmates and the people who allowed me to film them. Below is a picture of what the timeline in Final Cut Pro looks like, and that isn't even all of it!
