I'm excited to say that I have finished my final project! I had to create a story using 19 different shots. It took me awhile to think of an idea, but then the most random idea came to my mind. It's about a boy connecting with his inner child. I'm not sure what my inspiration was for this, but I think it turned out okay. There were a few things I could have done to tell the story better. I also felt very confined because I could only use 19 shots. Overall, I think it was a really good learning experience for me. I'm definitely interested in short films a little more now. A few of my shots took place outside, but it was raining. Luckily the weather cleared up for about 20 minutes, which was just enough time to get my few outdoor shots. Even though the video didn't turn out perfect, or exactly how I envisioned it, I think it was a super fun experience to express my creativity.
This month was SO much fun! I decided not to do my short film just yet due to my inexperience. My friend Reis and I got together and did a short feature on the St. Louis Zoo and the St. Louis Science Center. We hope to turn this into a mini series. The Science Center was so much fun to film at. We got a lot of cool shots. When we went to the zoo I started filming and the battery light started flashing indicating we had low battery. We debated weather we should film on my iPhone or just leave, and we ended up leaving and Reis filmed another time. I edited the intro for our little series and it turned out really awesome! I had an idea in mind, but I didn't have the time or shots to make it happen but I still love the intro I created. We are doing last minute touch ups before we turn it in today. This has been such a fun project because I was able to do it with a friend, go to fun places, and add my creative flare to it.
