This month I decided to take part in our partnership with a local television broadcast station, HEC-TV. They have a show called Explore! and they asked my classmates and me to do various factoids regarding speed. I chose to make a video about the world record for the fastest time to solve a Rubiks Cube, and I did a factoid about the speed of electricity. They were really easy and fun to make. I don't typically make very short videos, but this month I decided to try it out. It was a little challenging not being able to put together a lot of sequences, but I think I did the best I could with a short timeline. I'm really happy with how they turned out and it's really cool that I was given the opportunity to work with professionals.
Last month I decided to re-visit the Ram Rap music video. I had to take it offline due to some misheard lyrics, so I just cut a section out. I learned a few new editing techniques and I watched a bunch of other music videos to get inspiration. I think the improved version is so much better. I cut the clips a lot shorter and to the beat. Some of the work was super tedious, but I think the outcome is awesome. The only bad thing about this project is that it's not getting the same attention it did when I first released it. After I uploaded the original version, I hit over 1,000 views in less than a week. Now, it's not getting shared as much since people have already seen it once. Overall, I'm really proud of myself for going back and re-editing it. Here's what the final edit looks like in Final Cut Pro.
